Top round is very lean piece of meat from round. The meat is fibrous with fine marbling and intramuscular fat. Shape of the meat evokes a loaf of bread and it is perhaps the most beautiful piece of meat. Slice it to steaks, but it goes well with ay sauce or lean goulash.
